English and Language Arts Help for Grades 5-12
Thanks to COVID-19, 2020 has been an uncertain time for everyone, especially parents and educators. Many districts are opting for virtual learning over returning to classrooms, and in districts where kids are returning to school, some parents would prefer to keep their kids home.
No matter what is happening with your child’s school this fall, you want to make sure your children remain safe while also minimizing gaps in learning and socialization. If your child is in grades 5-12 and you are looking for tutoring, teaching, or extra academic support, I can help! What I offer is completely customizable depending on the needs of your family. Read over the options below and contact me to put together a plan that works best for you and your child.
About Me
I have a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Language Arts for grades 6-12. I also hold my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. My area of expertise is English but I am able to provide light assistance with other disciplines as well. I believe that curiosity, compassion, and creativity are three of the most important qualities for successful learners, and I work to cultivate these 3 C’s in all my lessons. I have been told that one of my biggest strengths is making reading fun for students! In addition to my passion for education, I love being outdoors, reading, writing, and coming up with ideas.
My experience includes:
- Classroom teacher
- EFL teacher both in the USA and abroad
- Camp counselor and educator
- Reading Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club
- Educational Intervention Specialist

- After-school teacher and tutor, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and test prep
